"The Diary": A Special Music and dance show in Gavrio, Friday 1/7 - 20:30

The big music and dance performance of Andros Dance Club on Friday, July 1 at 20:30 at the old primary school of Gavrio.

 

For the lovers of tradition and culture, Andros Dance Club prepares a unique performance, using an imaginative setting, with respect to the folklore elements of our place and especially with passion and love for what it stands for, the rescue and dissemination of cultural heritage.

We invite all people of Andros and the people of the wider region of South Aegean Regional Unit to actively participate in the above effort of the Group, to experience magical moments and to enjoy music, colors and dance motifs of other eras.

 

 

Andros Dance Club is a relatively new club, based in Gavrio, teaching traditional Greek dance lessons to children and adults throughout the island for the last 8 years. Our team is located in Gavrio, Batsi and Korthi. Apart from learning how to dance, our goal is the scientific research, study, rescue, presentation and dissemination of all forms of our popular culture and folklore. We organize conferences, seminars, publications, exhibitions, performances, excursions and all kinds of events related to folk art. Lost truths, memories that wake up, dreams that come to life, moments of another era in Greece that unfold before your eyes through the autobiography of a woman in this DIARY. Strong contrasts between the past and the present will unfold hidden truths and feelings.
