Takis 1∞ – Retrospective Exhibition at the Museum of Contemporary Art, Andros June 22 – November 2, 2025

The Basil & Elise Goulandris Foundation honors the 100th anniversary of the birth of the renowned artist Panagiotis Vassilakis – widely known as Takis (1925–2019) – with a major retrospective exhibition at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Andros. The exhibition Takis 1∞, running from June 22 to November 2, 2025, showcases pivotal stages of the artist’s career through more than 150 works.

In Andros, visitors will have the opportunity to discover a more comprehensive and lesser-known side of Takis – from his early works and initial influences to his iconic Spirals and Signals, sculptures that profoundly shaped 20th-century contemporary art.

The exhibition coincides with the reopening of the Museum’s Old Wing, which returns fully renovated, offering visitors a renewed and unique experience. Additionally, from July 23 to August 31, creative workshops for children will take place, inspiring a new generation through the artistic universe of Takis. With his distinctive energy and cosmopolitan spirit, Takis invites us to explore his art in an exhibition that bridges past and present, placing Andros at the heart of artistic creation.
