Andros Experience Interwetten 2021!

The Andros Experience Interwetten 2021 was completed with great success, many entries but mainly happy athletes - participants.

The second year of the multisport event on the island of Andros was even more successful at all levels, since SwimmingClub.gr in collaboration with the South Aegean Region and the Municipality of Andros offered the participants demanding swimming routes and open roads with good signage for cycling and running.

On Saturday, June 12, in the morning, departures were given from four different parts of the island, ending in Batsi.

On the Brave route where the swimmers started from the island "Megalos" and had to face quite strong currents, Mike Argyris took the lead in men (00: 50'55 ") while in women Mania Bikov (01: 29'58") .

In the distance of 5,500 m. Dimitris Stamatiou was the first to finish (01: 16'00 ") while Christina Daskalaki had a very good time, being the only woman in the distance with 01: 35'30". In the 3,800 m. The start was given in Kypri and in women the first was Daphne Georgiadou (01: 01’55 ”) while the victory in men was Dimitris Gotzias (00: 52’49”).

In the fastest route, that of 750 m. from Kolona beach, Aristotelis Theodosiou finished first in less than 10 minutes (00: 09’50 ”) and in women Maria Stoumba (00: 10’49”).

On Saturday afternoon, along with the mixed relay races enjoyed by all participants, the show was stolen by Kids swim with children of all ages filling the beach with smiles and the charity Run4Andros. Afterwards, the awards took place in the cosmopolitan Batsi where Interwetten distributed summer gifts through draws.

On Sunday where more than 215 participants gathered in Gavrio.

Early in the morning the start was given to the Olympic Triathlon and then to the Sprint Triathlon and Aquathlon. Andreas Stavrou took the lead in men with a time of 02: 09'18 "and followed in 2nd and 3rd place respectively Stefanos Haviaras and Tasos Moustakis.

In the women, Anastasia Tsourouktzi with a time of 02: 24’59 ”won the gold medal with Liana Hasioti and Christina Daskalaki following.

In the Spint Triathlon, Panagiotis Bitados (01: 02'27 ") crossed the finish line first, while in women, Stefania Polychroniadis (01: 13'40").

Dimitris Stamatiou, who was first in the 5,500m swimming, made the double after taking the victory in the Aquathlon (00: 25'28 ") and finally in the respective women's event, Elisabeth Dimou (00: 31'54" finished first.
