Apothikes beach is one of the most beautiful ones in Andros, with emerald waters and golden sand. It’s a small, breathtaking gulf, and never fails to attract those who love diving and fishing.

Location & How to get there

Apothikes is located on the western part of the island, in the region of Stavropeda. Gavrio Port is just 24 km away, while Chora and Korthi Bay are 15 km and 19 km respectively. 
After reaching Stavropeda, there is a downhill alley that leads to Chalkolimionas beach. Half a kilometer before the road ends, you’ll find an intersection where you will take the left exit and go down the dirt road that leads to Apothikes. There is parking space available.

The beach

The crystal clear waters along with the golden sand are the highlights of Apothikes beach and will surely captivate its visitors. On the bigger part of the beach one can find comfortable sunbeds at the Beach bar Apothikes, but there’s also quite some space for those who would rather use their own equipment. Even though it’s a small gulf, it’s affected by the island’s winds - meltemia.
