Hiking Trail 14

Gavrio - Ano Gavrio - Ammolochos - Frousei

Hiking Trail 14 is a long distance route that starts from the plain of Gavrio to the northern mountain range of Andros. A route that combines different landscapes such as the green valley of Ano Gavrio, the ridge of Prophet Elias, the historic village of Ammolochos and the impressive ravine of Frousei. Along the way you will find watermills and age-old olive trees as you will have a panoramic view to the bay of Gavrio.

Access to Hiking Trail 14

There are many access points to the trail. The most convenient start is from Gavrio where there is plenty of parking. But you can start either from the road to Ano Gavrio on the bridge just before the dovecote of Matzoros, but also from the other side of the route from the chapel of Agia Irini Chrysovalantou near the crossroads in the village of Sidonta on the main road from Gavrio to Varydi .
